Chatham Elections Board wrestles with new voting law, 2020’s effect on poll workers

The municipal election is a little over a month away, and despite a few rule changes from Georgia’s new voting law, Senate Bill 202, voters will have multiple opportunities to cast their ballots in the coming weeks.

This year, posts in Bloomingdale, Tybee Island, Thunderbolt, Port Wentworth and Garden City will be on the ballot. Every voter in Chatham County will have the opportunity to make their voice heard, but for those who live outside of these cities, there’ll only be one or two items to vote on.
