Pooler’s Planning and Zoning Board on Monday recommended approval of a 288 single-family unit extension of the Savannah Quarters Subdivision.
The addition marks phase 18 of Savannah Quarters, which takes up approximately 2,588 acres alongside the southwest side of the Interstate 16 and Interstate 95 interchange.
Phase 18 will consist of about 37 acres of land on the east side of the development. According to the master plan presented to the board on Monday, the 288 single-family residential units will neighbor a pool, a fitness center and will be surrounded by wetlands on three sides, as well as “significant open spaces.”
The property straddles the Savannah and Ogeechee Canal, which the master plan said will require the construction of a bridge.
