COVID-19 cases in Chatham schools trend down for full month, Bryan and Effingham low plateau

For the fourth week in a row, COVID-19 cases in the Savannah Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) trend downwards. Cases in Bryan County schools saw a slight uptick in infections from the last week and Effingham County has remained almost the same, though both districts report a smaller positivity rate than SCCPSS.   

All three school districts, however, have lowered their COVID-19 rates significantly in the past month, a trend that mirrors the community decline in infections after a sudden surge in August and September, largely attributed to the delta variant of the COVID-19 virus.
