CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTGS) — Chatham Area Transit (CAT) is doing its part in helping with unmet public transportation needs in the area.
Communications manager Eric Curl said CAT will donate vehicles that they can no longer use, to non-profit organizations in Chatham County.
The first vehicle being donated seats 14 passengers, plus the driver.
“This program aligns with cat’s goal of being a good community partner. There’s probably some non-profits out there that may need a vehicle, but it just may not be in their budget,” Curl said. “We felt like this vehicle has more value as a potential agent of change, rather than as another auction item.”
