A temporary 20- to 25-bed shelter is expected to open soon near downtown Sarnia to help serve a local homeless population that grew during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s very temporary,” said Valerie Colasanti, Lambton County’s general manager of Lambton County’s social services. “Our plan is to open it mid-December and close it by the end of April.”
