Tom Hutcherson Announces His Candicacy for Pooler City Council

Tom Hutcherson, candidate for Pooler City Council, is kicking off his candidacy with the announcement of a new campaign website at

“I’m running because I know I can make a difference. Pooler is growing rapidly, and the next couple of years will determine what type of City Pooler is going to become,” said Hutcherson. ” I’m confident that I can make a significant contribution towards making Pooler one of the finest cities in Georgia in which to live, work, and play.”

This is a multi-candidate election. All six City Council seats are up for election. The term of office is four years. The six candidates with the most votes will be elected. The candidate with the highest vote will become the Mayor pro tem.

Hutcherson adds, “I will focus on effective management of the growth Pooler is experiencing by adhering to the comprehensive master plan already in place. I will also be financially responsible with taxpayer money, pursue a more active partnership with local schools, and advocate for governance changes that will insure all communities will have a voice in City government.”

The election will be held on November 5, 2019.
